  • Speed Networking Can Help Your Business Flourish

    By Michael Slater
    President
    SpeedNetworking.com

CHICAGO – You’re a busy person. The people who walk by you each day are most likely saying the same thing about themselves. Do you think you don’t have time to network? Think again. Can you afford not to?

Everyone and everything is demanding our time and there is little to no downtime these days. As a result, there is often little to no time to build new relationships. Those same people you pass by each day are often in the same position. How are the “lucky people” becoming so successful at growing their businesses?

Once in a while, they have created the best thing since sliced bread. For most of us, that is not the case and we are in tough competition to win business. By not widening our spheres of influence for new contacts and relationships, you might be severely reducing your chances for your advancement, sales, ventures, partnerships, sales pipeline and success.

Face-to-Face Communication Vital to Building Relationships

CHICAGO – We live in a fast-moving world that allows us to interact virtually with almost anyone. Without technology such as e-mail, social networking and blogs, we would have a more difficult time connecting with people on a regular basis.

While technology is great for maintaining relationships, it doesn’t replace face-to-face communication. In order to fully connect with people, you need to see them in person from time to time.

Make an effort to get together with people in your network. Be creative and think of new ways to connect in person so it continues to be exciting for you.

One easy way to connect with people is to get together during meal time. Since you need to eat, why not make it a productive meal?
